Production building is manufacturing. Your software should know that.

Nohousestartsuntilit'sactuallyready.

Every start clears a readiness gate set — plan pinned, budget generated, price book covering every line, permits issued, drawings released, structural selections locked. Most gates pass on a system check; the rest get an attestation or a waiver with a reason and a name on it. Then one release generates the project, budget, schedule, checklists, drawings, the full PO set, and the trade notifications. Nobody retypes a thing.

Purchase orders come off the price book at start release, so every dollar after that is a variance you can name. Arc measures variance against direct-cost budget and slices it any way you want — by reason, community, plan, vendor, or superintendent. Lines the price book can't cover are held as exceptions, never quietly issued at zero.

Cutoffs aren't dates somebody typed into a spreadsheet — each selection group is anchored to a real schedule task: thirty days before cabinet set, fourteen before drywall. When the field moves the schedule, every affected cutoff recomputes and the buyer hears about it the same morning. Overdue and at-risk lots sit on one desk instead of in a coordinator's head.
